On June 22, 2010, at the Head office of Vietnam Directorate for Standards, Metrology and Quality (STAMEQ), the Joint Coordinating Committee of Vietnam – Japan Technical Cooperation Project held the first Meeting on the implementation of the Project on Strengthening the system and operation on standards and conformance since the date of the signing record of discussion between STAMEQ, Bureau of Accreditation (BoA) and Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) on November 26, 2009.

Attending the Meeting were STAMEQ’s Director General Ngo Quy Viet, BoA’s Director Vu Xuan Thuy, JICA’s Senior Representative Nagase Toshio and other related representatives.
The goal of the project is to improve the quality of electrical and electronic equipment manufactured in Vietnam and to ensure the consumer’s safety by strengthening the capability of standards, regulations, accreditation, certification and testing in the field of electronics and electrical equipment.
On this occation, STAMEQ’s Director Ngo Quy Viet would like to express the great thanks to JICA Vietnam Office for supporting STAMEQ to implement this project.
