On April 5th, 2010, Korea Electrotechnology Research Institute (KERI) and Vietnam Directorate for Standards, Metrology and Quality (STAMEQ) signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on Co-operation in testing and certification-related activities for electrical products and goods in Seoul, Korea . STAMEQ’s Director General Ngo Quy Viet led Vietnam Delegation and signed this MOU.

At the signing ceremory, Ngo Quy Viet stated that “KERI and STAMEQ have a long standing friendship for more than 10 years, since we were the partners and together implemented the Project: “Development of Electrical and Electronic Safety Testing Laboratory” funded by KOICA from 1999-2000. Based on the successful cooperation, a MOU on cooperation was signed between KERI and STAMEQ on December 3, 2001. The MOU we sign today follows the first one and commits us to work together more closely towards our common goal, the pursuit of the internationalization of testing and certification activities. I do hope the signing of this MOU will elevate our bilateral co-operation to a new level."
