The signing ceremony of the Project on reinforcing systems and activities of standards and regulation conformity between STAMEQ and JICA
Implementing the MoU of Japanese Technical Support Project to Vietnam on reinforcing systems and activities of standards and regulation conformity was signed on September 11, 2009 between the Directorate for Standards, Metrology and Quality (STAMEQ) and delegates of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), the signing ceremony of that Project between STAMEQ and JICA took place on November 26, 2009.
Attending the ceremony, on STAMEQ side, there were Dr. Ngo Quy Viet – Director General of STAMEQ, Mr. Vu Xuan Thuy – Director of the Bureau of Accreditation, and delegates of some concerned units of the Directorate. On JICA side, there were Mr. Mutoroni Tsuno – Chief Representative of JICA Office in Hanoi, Mr. Muro-oka, and Ms. Dao To Cam – JICA office staff in Hanoi.



The Japanese Technical Support Project to Vietnam has general target is reinforcing the quality of electrical - electronic products made in Vietnam and ensuring safety for consumers.
The main aim of this Project is reinforcing the systems and activities of STAMEQ and concerned units on standards and regulation conformity in the field of electrical - electronic products, including the following contents:
- Reinforcing the ability to build policies on standards and conformity assessment in the field of electrical - electronic products;
- Reinforcing the ability to build standards and regulation conformity in the field of electrical - electronic products;
- Reinforcing the ability to recognize, certify and test in the field of electrical - electronic products;
